Entry No. 13: Mike Walker
Here are 7 pix of my garage in Arvada Colorado, a suburb of Denver. I began construction in Sept 2000, and finished in the Spring of 2001. It is 20' deep by 30' long. The exterior is all no maintenance vinyl siding, which gives me more time to ride, rather than paint. Inside I have 6 8' light strips on the ceiling, a ceiling mounted trouble light on a retractable reel, natural gas fired ceiled mounted furnace, vinyl finish cabinets, scrub sink in the corner at the end of the cabinets, air compressor outlets at various locations, pull down attic access stairway, multiline phone, stereo with 5 disc CD changer, cable TV, and my very own Stoplight. I figured if I was gonna build one, I'd put in everything I could. The only thing I haven't installed yet is a Soda machine, but I'm still looking for just the right one. When we finished, some of our Chapter friends had a "Walker's Garage sign made up to hang outside above the overhead door. We have room, with some creative postioning, for my Blazer, my Blue 1500, my wife's White 1500, a 5'x10' utility trailer, our Escapade MC trailer, MC lift, various mechanic tools, table saw, snowblower, and lawn and garden implements.
